My kids love Nutella. What is Nutella? We think it's some kind of healthy-ish nut spread. Well, in my reading it sounds like it's full of modified palm oil (toxic), sugar and maybe MSG. Pretty much, nothing good, for anyone.

The reason I even looked into the ingredients of Nutella is because, it won't wash off the knife. I spread a generous glob onto a graham cracker and when I rinse the knife, the Nutella doesn't budge. What is this stuff? Then my brain shifts to an image of the Nutella clinging to my daughters insides like some gross gunk.

This article claims their is MSG in the Vanillin part of Nutella, which is artifical vanilla. Hmm. MSG is linked to all kinds of health problems. For me, a trigger to migraines. Also, check out the amount of sugar. Whoa! Most kids bars and treats have between 6 and 10 grams of sugar. Nutella, a whopping 21 grams of sugar for just 2 Tablespoons. This article shows us that those 21 grams is equal to 5 teaspoons of white sugar. Yuck!!! This is truly a spreadable candy bar, or two. AND, it doesn't wash off the knife as I show you in my lovely video.
