Northern Colorado Doctor Arrested on Eight Counts of Drug Fraud

A Johnstown doctor turned himself in on Saturday (Jun 11, 2016), after a warrant for his arrest had been issued earlier in the week. According to the Reporter-Herald, Dr. Kenneth Allen Pettine, whose clinic is located at 4795 Larimer Parkway in Johnstown, turned himself in at the Larimer County Jail in Fort Collins after an investigation uncovered irregularities involving prescription drugs. Bond for Pettine has been set at $10,000.

The investigation for alleged fraud was opened in April of this year (2016), and enough evidence was found for authorities to issue an arrest warrant. Evidence was collected from Pettine's practice and home and shows possible fraud as far back at 2013 to as recent as the beginning of this year. Pettine is being charged with eight counts of fraud, including writing prescriptions for people who were not in his care.
