Nominate a Kid That Has Done Something Great Over Summer Break – ‘TRI-102.5 & HuHot’s Kind Kid of the Month’

Congratulations to Sophia Martin, August's Kind Kid of the Month brought you by Huhot Mongolian Grill! Sophia is a very special young lady who organizes benefits and clothing drives. Her efforts have gone a long way in her community and beyond. Check out her nomination letter.

Sophia is my daughter. She is one of the most kind-hearted people I have ever met. During the school year she organized two different benefit/clothing drives. One was to benefit the Murphy Center for Hope; the other was for the Crossroads Safehouse.
This summer, she held (and organized and coordinated on her own) a lemonade stand/bake sale to benefit the Rist Canyon Volunteer Firefighters. She raised $315 in 6 hours! Pretty impressive for an 11 year old, in my somewhat biased opinion!!
