Northern Colorado Pride Festival is coming up on July 23 in Civic Center Park, and One Colorado is looking for local volunteers to help lend a hand at this year's events.

Assistance is needed with setup, holding down the tents and post-festival clean up. In addition to committing to a shift, One Colorado is asking all volunteers to pledge to be registered to vote in the 2016 election.

Volunteers can choose from three shifts: 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

I love volunteering at local festivals. It's perfect for when you want to go to an event, but can't find a friend to go with, or are new to the area. It's such a great way to meet people with similar interests and make friends without feeling uncomfortable because you have a purpose (And, you can feel good about supporting the community at this one!).

The July 23 Pride OUTside party begins at 10 a.m., and will host food, vendors, live music in the park and a night show (TBA).
