Nick Lachey Says He Will Be Vanessa Minnillo’s ‘Coach’ When She Gives Birth

38-year-old Nick Lachey and his wife, Vanessa Minnillo, 31,  are expecting a child and Lachey recently announced that he will be by her side as a coach in the delivery room. In a conversation with television co-host, Kelly Ripa, Nick said he will be with Vanessa every step of the way.

Lachey has been co-hosting "Live! With Kelly" after Regis Philbin retired from the show.

"I'm gonna be there, I'm gonna be supportively there, holding hands, and coaching, breathing, all that good stuff," he continued. "But apparently I won't be down below, seeing what's happening. I'll be up above, helping."
