214 Linden Street in Fort Collins has been many things.  An Irish pub, a sports bar; and even a vegetarian restaurant, among (many) other things.  But none of them have lasted.  Personally, I think the place is cursed.  But a new business may bring new life to the Old Town address.

According to the liquor license request notification on the door, the space is about to become a pub called the Blind Pig.

According to paperwork filed with the city clerk’s office, one of the applicants is Jeff Van Delden. A Jeff Van Delden — it’s unclear if it’s the same one — is co-owner of a series of successful Austin and Houston bars and restaurants. The company that’s opening the bar is represented by a Fort Collins attorney.

Not much is known about The Blind Pig yet (when you go to blindpigfortcollins.com, you just get a "coming soon" page); but personally, I love pubs.  A casual place with good food and even better drinks, where friends and family can spend time together on any occasion?  Sounds good to me!

Do you think this new business will be able to reverse the address's sullied reputation?
