When I have free time in my little slice of Fort Collins, I love to watch movies.  And Netflix is one of my favorite ways to do that.  But will a sudden price hike leave me looking elsewhere to get my movie fix?

“If we want to continue to expand to do more great original content, more series, more movies, we have to eventually increase prices a little bit,” CEO Reed Hastings said in a video conference with analysts. “You’re talking about a dollar or two difference per month, so I don’t think that it’s a huge difference.”

Considering Netflix currently only runs about eight bucks a month for its streaming-only service, another dollar or two doesn't seem so bad.  Then again, this could just be the start of a slippery slope, that has customers paying out the nose before we can say "what else is on?"

Do you have Netflix?  Will you cancel your subscription if the price goes up?
