I like to use my first world problems to remind me of how lucky I am.

Life is so good, that I live in a city that wants me to live in a healthier and more energy efficient home. They are giving me everything I need to be more comfortable, save energy, and save money. I'm not exaggerating about this. I'm taking advantage of Fort Collins Home Efficiency Program. They are giving me a very low interest loan and adding the payment to my utility bill.

We are having crazy insulation put into our house. I'm so excited. But....

The contractors are taking forever. Talk about a first world problem.

They said they'd be in our house Monday and Tuesday. Last Monday and Tuesday. They are still going to be here this week.

Besides the fact that, because they are in the middle of the job and we have no insulation, the bedroom is frigid in the morning and sweaty and sweltering in the evening, the contractors just don't do what they say they are going to do.

"We'll see you bright and early tomorrow morning!" they said. Bright and early to them means 3 p.m. the next day.

It's all relative, right? When things are really good, slow contractors are what we bitch about. When things are really bad, the issues are much more upsetting and disturbing.

Add this one to #firstworldproblems .
