Mulberry Bridge Getting Back to Normal Starting on Friday

According to the Coloradoan, Mulberry Bridge will start to get back to normal this Friday as two way traffic makes it's return.

However, until that day comes, we'll have to endure only westbound traffic for the rest of this week. The Colorado Department of Transportation states that two lanes will be available for use in both directions immediately Friday.

That doesn't mean we can now breathe a sigh of relief that the construction delays have ceased. CDOT states that both directions are still subject to closure through November between 7am and 5pm for final bridge and road work.

The project has cost close to $9.6 million to complete.

By the end of the day Friday, pedestrian traffic will be permitted on the south side of the bridge and bicycle lanes will also be open that day.

Patrons of the Poudre River trail under the east side of the bridge will continue to cross Mulberry Street at Lemay Avenue until this is completed at some time in November.

Weather permitting, the project should finish on time in November so the entire community can be of full use of the bridge.
