I was excited to have people in the studio from a few different banks that will soon be one big family serving Northern Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska.

Western States Bank, Valley Bank and Trust, and Wyoming State Bank are combining and when the merger is done, they will be known across the three states as Western States Bank.

The merger will give the new group $57 million in equity and $525 million in assets.

With these assets in place, they are looking forward to serving business and personal banking customers, and in using their lending power to stimulate the continued growth of Northern Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska.

Gary Crum and Craig Ockers stopped by the studio to share the news with me in person, they are obviously very excited to get started serving people here.

We talked about the future of Northern Colorado, banking security, and what it means to them to merge and use the power of their three banks to come together to serve our community.
