The Coloradoan is reporting that the Fort Collins police are now investigating the potential use of marijuana in the case of a 19-year-old man jumping from a third-story window in early April.

The police are getting help from the Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division.

No one is saying how much marijuana was in the man's system, but they are saying that marijuana was the only substance found in his body at the time of the incident.

The investigation is primarily looking into the possible ingestion of edible cannabis. The man, Austin Essig, jumped through a glass window of a third-story apartment.

Charges are pending for the person or persons who sold the marijuana to Essig. In Colorado you have to be 21 years of age to purchase recreational marijuana or related products.
