March for Babies taught me a lot of things.

It echoed the messaging that I am bringing from University of Colorado Health. The importance of working on a base line of good health for the mother during and before pregnancy can be a vital component.

It also taught me about the resilience of humans, the power of human love, and what can happen when people, organizations and volunteers team up to make a positive impact on their society.

I was surrounded by kids who might not have made it because they were premature. There were moms walking near kids that, at one point, thought they may never walk beside their child. I talked to sponsors that were so happy to be giving their time, money and product to the cause, and the beneficiaries whose eyes teared up when they talked about their sponsor's impact.

Thanks to the March of Dimes, all of the sponsors and volunteers that helped make the event a great success!
