Please drive carefully today. This is happening way too often. A 45-year-old man was killed in a crash involving a trash truck and a semitrailer truck in north Greeley yesterday.

According to the Greeley Tribune, the semi was traveling south on 47th Avenue or Weld County Road 33 at about 11:45 a.m., the semi collided with a Waste Management trash truck, which was driving west on AA Street.

The trash truck driver, Eusebio Fernandez,  was ejected when the truck rolled over. Life-saving measures were performed on Fernandez, but he died at the scene. He was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. Fernandez is the fifth person to die on Weld County roads this month. 23 people have died on Weld County roads this year.

The driver of the semi was taken by ambulance to North Colorado Medical Center in critical condition. His name was not released.
