The Safeway at Mulberry and College has now closed and some in downtown Fort Collins are left with wondering where they will now go for groceries. Thankfully, an announcement that a new grocery store will be coming soon. Lucky's Market will be filling the vacant building that once housed defunct sporting goods giant Sports Authority.

According to the Coloradoan, the Niwot based grocery store chain is close to finalizing their lease. Lucky's Martket's slogan is "Organic for the 99%" and have two markets in Colorado. Lucky's Market is also in 10 other states: Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, Ohio and Wyoming.

I am looking forward to seeing Lucky's in Downtown Fort Collins! I always like checking out new grocery stores whenever I have the opportunity to do so.
