The Widow McCoy, (Widow McCoy’s, officially), closed its doors forever in 2013. This place was historic, and it was sad to see it have to go.  The marquee has remained and has said ‘Available’ for over two years now.

I drove by the other day, and saw that ‘Available’ was not there anymore, and got the lowdown on what’s coming to finally bring life back to the old spot!

Widow McCoy’s on Eisenhower, in the middle of Loveland, was there for so long, I would have thought it qualified for ‘historic landmark’ status. When the restaurant closed in 2013, it was a sad day.

For over two years now, we've seen 'Available' up in the old marquee. Some cars would park there (where were they going?), but it remained closed and quiet.  Well now, here we go- a NEW restaurant will be taking over the old Widow location. The Hokkaido Buffet!

It sounds like the former owner of the Widow is involved with this new venture, as well. There are reports that another restaurant was trying to get in there, but the owner stopped negotiating, to put in his own restaurant.

So, soon, you'll be able to do some weekly shopping over at Sam's Club, or maybe check out a new car at Loveland Ford, then have a little Asian food at the Hokkaido.

Sounds OK to me! What do you think?
