Loveland Preschool Receives Top Honor From State of Colorado

A preschool in Loveland has joined two other facilities in Colorado with receiving the highest rating a school can get from the state.

The Colorado Department of Human Services administers the ratings on a yearly basis on a scale of 1-5.

In the latest ratings that were released, Teaching Tree Early Childhood Center in Loveland was one of three in the state to receive the highest score of 5. They join Early Excellence Program in Denver and Bal Swan Children's Center in Broomfield.

The department lists a score of "5" as meaning the preschool excels at health and safety, has a well trained staff, supportive learning, as well as engaging parents with programs designed for them.

Most centers in the state of Colorado secure a rating of "1", which means they meet basic health and safety standards.

There are 3,352 preschools in the state of Colorado that get graded.
