Loveland PD Investigates Possible Hate Crime at Library
Loveland Police are investigating a physical assault as a possible hate crime. Their press release said that a man started a verbal argument that became physical at the Loveland Public Library Sunday afternoon. He began punching the 24-year-old victim repeatedly while shouting an anti-gay slur at him.
A 24-year-old Denver man reported he had been assaulted after another man and a woman began a verbal altercation that escalated. The victim suffered injuries that were treated on scene.
Neither suspect has been arrested, as they left the area on foot.The male suspect was described as bald, between 5 feet 10 inches tall and 6 feet tall and wearing a green pullover and jeans, while the female suspect was described as heavy-set, between 5 feet 2 inches tall and 5 feet 5 inches tall with a red flower in her hair.
