Lots of people are drawn to get fireworks for the 4th of July holiday, as it is a celebration. However, if you live in Loveland, you need to know what is legal so you don't get a violation.

As the Reporter-Herald reported, the City of Loveland will be implementing a "Zero-Tolerance" Policy when it comes to fireworks, in particular the fireworks that either leave the ground or explode.

Loveland Police will be out being proactive this year with officers on duty specifically looking for these violations starting now through July 4th.

On a brighter note, the professional fireworks show that the city puts on is scheduled to start at 9:17 p.m. July 4 over Lake Loveland. It is expected to be about 30 minutes long and will end with a finale of around 500 shots.

Also keep in mind that yes, we have had a lot of moisture, but those tall grasses and weeds can dry out quickly and be easily ignitable.

Stay safe out there and make it a great 4th!
