It's easy to become lost in the Rocky Mountains.

That fact became a little bit too real for a New York man who lost his way while hiking a closed snow-covered road in Rocky Mountain National Park. It's not like here on the Front Range, where you can use the mountains to get your bearings. Down here, they are always to the west.

When you're in the park, they surround you in all directions--north, south, east and west.

Thankfully for 34-year-old Jay Starr Jr., of Cohoes (co-HOSE), New York, rescue crews kept looking for him and after being lost for some time, he was found on Trail Ridge Road.

According to the Associated Press, he is recovering in the hospital.
