A Loveland resident who was a teacher at Longmont Christian School died after a crash on South Lincoln Avenue in Loveland Monday morning.  According to the Loveland Reporter Herald, 78-year-old Donald Monteath died from his injuries at Medical Center of the Rockies.

Loveland police say Monteath rear-ended a pickup truck that had stopped for a northbound school bus that had stopped to pick up students. The bus was not hit.

Monteath was a history teacher at Longmont Christian School and had taught previously at Loveland Christian School as well as Aims and Front Range community colleges.

The road was closed for about an hour after the crash.  Monteath was the 21st person to die as a result of a crash on Larimer County roads so far this year.
