If told you there is a way to increase your home's energy efficiency, increase the value of your home, lower your bills, and make you more comfortable through the summer and winter with barely any money out of pocket, would you think I was pulling your leg?

It’s just the sort of thing that isn’t too good to be true in Fort Collins. The city realizes that to achieve it’s triple bottom line goals of having a positive affect on the people, economy and the environment of Fort Collins, it is a good idea to combine the three whenever possible.

Take us for example. We live in a townhome that was built in 1986. It is cool. It was not, however, energy efficient. The attention to sealing and insulating back then wasn’t what it is today.

So, the City of Fort Collins Home Efficiency Program is out to fix the thousands of homes that are behind on the times. As you can see in the video, they make it easy.
