Rita Ora adds a punch of tropical flavor to the One Direction smash ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ during a cover of the song for the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge series.

Ora’s cover is built around a light piano melody. There’s no video for the performance, but we can imagine Ora and her band in a room full of bongo drums, maracas, and other percussion instruments as they play their own version of the No. 1 song.

The 21-year-old Jay-Z signee makes one minor lyrical change to the chorus, removing the “flip your hair” line as she sings, “Baby you light up my world like nobody else / The way that you kiss my lips gets me overwhelmed / But when you smile at the ground it ain’t hard to tell / You don’t know you’re beautiful.

Ora’s BBC cover isn’t the first time ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ has been reinvented. The ‘Glee‘ cast covered the song back in May for the ‘Prom-A-Saurus’ episode.

During her Radio 1 session, Ora also performed ‘How We Do (Party),’ a track from her debut album ‘ORA,’ which drops first internationally on Aug. 27 and includes ‘Roc the Life‘ and ‘Radioactive.’
