"Butterfly in the sky, I can go twice as high..." For many of us, those words kicked off our favorite program on public access TV. That catchy song was a gateway to a show that was always fun, entertaining, and educational. "Reading Rainbow" was a great show, no question.  And now, host LeVar Burton is bringing it back!

Through the crowd-funding site Kickstarter, Burton and the "Reading Rainbow" team have raised 180% of their $1 million goal (and that's just at the time of writing this).  Incredible, right?

This time, "Reading Rainbow" won't actually be a TV show; rather, it's a digital resource that will allow kids, parents, and teachers to access e-books and Burton's famous "video field trips" from any device.  Basically, it's still "Reading Rainbow," just adapted for the 21st century.

Are you excited for the return of "Reading Rainbow?"  Let us know in the comments!

And, just for fun, here's the old intro from that show we all loved so much. :)
