First, there was Mile High, then Invesco Field at Mile High, then Sports Authority Field, if some lawmakers have their way Mile High would be in the stadium name forever regardless of sponsor.

Lawmakers at the State Capitol are introducing a bill that would keep "Mile High" part of the Broncos stadium forever, and that would be just fine with me.

Following the bankruptcy announcement coming from Sports Authority the name of the field already finds itself at the center of rumors and questions. According to FOX31 Denver political reporter Joe St. George, who talked exclusively with lawmakers, the House Bill 1455 (HB1455) is expected to be assigned to a House committee tomorrow.

Naming rights to a stadium is a struggle for me.  I love capitalism but am also a purist when it comes to stadium names.  Where would sports be if it was the Jolly Green Giant Green Monster?  Or Kraft Cheese Lambeau Field?  Or maybe Ashley Madison Square Garden? What do you think?
