Lee Martinez Farm may be open year-round, but its pony ride operations shut down for the better part of fall and winter.

As a little girl, my parents always enrolled my sister and me in recreational programs at Lee Martinez Farm. While my sister was deathly afraid of horses, I couldn't get enough of them - I would beg to go on pony rides and eventually grew old enough to take their pony camp. That week was such a treat, and though I haven't ridden a horse in ages, the thought of riding ponies makes me so happy.

If your child loves riding ponies, it's not too late to get a few more rides in before the season is over.

The last day for pony rides at Lee Martinez Farm is Sunday, October 23. Pony ride hours of operation run Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m.

Of course the Farm, located at 600 Sherwood in Fort Collins, has other fun attractions like *gasp* more cute animals (!), a museum, the farm store, and birthday party options. Effective November 2, the Farm is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.
