It took four months since Colorado made it legal, and now has been just over a month since the Fort Collins area got its first legal business where adults over 21 can purchase marijuana. Monday (March 12th) Larimer County added another chapter to the legal cannabis scene.

The Larimer County commissioners approved granting licenses to grow and sell recreational pot to Flower Power Botanicals at 1308 Duff Drive.

The business which is already in use as one of the county's medical marijuana outlets will continue that operation, and said on their Facebook page that in the next 2-3 months they will be opening for retail marijuana sales.

The approval of Flower Power’s application for recreational pot licenses also means that anyone else who wanted to be a part of the industry in Larimer County is now out of luck because the commissioners have said they will allow only two licenses for each aspect of recreational marijuana regulated by the state.

With grow and sales licenses granted to Choice Organics, and now Flower Power, no other recreational marijuana stores will be allowed in Larimer County outside city limits.
