Four months after Colorado decided to allow marijuana for recreational use, Larimer County will get its first pot shop. Yesterday (March 17th) county commissioners unanimously approved licenses allowing Choice Organics to grow and sell recreational marijuana.

Choice Organics’ recreational marijuana facility will be in the same location as its medical marijuana operations at 813 Smithfield Drive. The building is southwest of the intersection of Mulberry Street and Interstate 25 in a commercial district. Its hours of operation have not been set.

The store is likely to open the first week of April, But in compliance with county regulations, it will not sell edible marijuana products.

The other medical marijuana store in unincorporated Larimer County, Flower Power Botanicals, is scheduled to have its application for recreational marijuana licenses considered by the county planning commission on Wednesday.
