Updated 9:15 am Normal operations have resumed at the Larimer County Sheriff's Office after the administration building was evacuated earlier because of a gas line break.

Poudre Fire Authority authorized reentry into the building at approximately 8:45 a.m.

Utility crews are on scene having turned off the gas and are in the process of repairing the break.

The Larimer County Emergency Communications Center has been reopened and temporary operations at the Poudre Emergency Communication Center terminated.

The Larimer County Sheriff's administration building was evacuated at approximately 8:00 a.m. this morning due to a construction accident which broke a gas line.

Emergency communications personnel were immediately transferred to the Poudre Emergency Communication Center and have resumed operations there.

The Larimer County Jail is not affected at this time but personnel were placed on standby.

Poudre Fire is on scene and utility crews are en route.

It is unknown at this time how long it will take to remedy the situation.
