A shift in the wind could mean danger for Larimer County. Tuesday the county will be placed under a fire weather watch.

Winds are expected to increase overnight and build speed throughout the day on Tuesday. According to the Coloradoan, winds could reach speeds of 50 m.p.h. The winds coupled with a low humidity level and temperatures in the 60's is a breading ground for rapid fire growth.

The National Weather Service predicts the forecast for the rest of the week will become more seasonal and we should be in the clear.

The average high for the area in March is 55 degrees with the average overnight low at 28 degrees.
