One of the biggest dangers around the home is un-used or expired prescription drugs. The Larimer County will join other law enforcement agencies across the county in a National Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday, September 27. Residents are given the opportunity to dispose of prescription medications that are no longer needed Drop off locations are open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Fort Collins Police Services, Loveland Police Department, and Red Feather Lakes Community Library among other locations that can be found by calling the Fort Collins Police Services at (970) 221-6540. All collections are free and anonymous, however not all items are will be accepted. Items that are not not eligible include illicit drugs, syringes, oxygen containers, IV fluids, pressurized canisters and mercury thermometers.
