It's only normal here in Colorado. Many grumble about how cold it is and how much we hate winter. Let's just remember we could live in worse places.

How cold is it on the eastern half of the United States? It's sooooooo cold, Lake Erie is completely frozen over. Well, not completely but it may as well be. Keep in mind how big Lake Erie is and it's about 99.9% frozen. Even the other 'Great Lakes" are just about as bad. Lake Huron and Lake Superior are 80% frozen,

That is a lot of ice!  How about that 'global warming?' Personally, I'd be all for it!

Keep in mind that this is in fact a rarity. Lake Erie has only completely frozen over three times that we know of back in 1978, 1979 and most recently in 1996.

Record cold has been recorded in many places and the latest blizzard that just hit Boston, dumping over 20 inches of snow, officially marked February 2015 the worst Boston has ever seen.

Moral of this story? We could have it much worse and I would be willing to be we are going to see a record snowfall ourselves this March or April, I can feel it in my bones. What do you think? Are we going to pay the price for the mild winters we have seen in recent years, especially this year?
