Why Did Ken Salazar Threaten a Colorado Springs Reporter?

Susan Moore, TSM

Colorado Springs Gazette reporter Dave Philipps has reported the federal government allegedly sold hundreds of wild horses to a known kill-buyer.

Interior Secretary Ken Salazar has officially apologized for threatening to “punch out” that reported who asked him about the BLM Wild Horse and Burro program. HEAR the 3 minute audio clip here: http://chirb.it/8zx4Dh

Salazar had threatened reporter Dave Philipps after he asked questions about the progra at an Election Day event supporting President Obama in Fountain.   A wild horse advocate from the Colorado-based Cloud Foundation caught the exchange on video.

The L.A.Times has the video interview, but it stops short of the threat.  The audio feed DOES however include it.

On a personal note, I have out bid kill buyers several times.  Please read my story here.
