Katy Perry hasn't made too big of a secret of her Fundamentalist Christian past, and her parents have no problem using her name to endorse their ministries -- but did her own dad badmouth her in a recent sermon?

Reports say that Perry's father, Keith Hudson, launched into a heated tirade about his daughter during a recent service, raising eyebrows and garnering side eye from just about everyone.

The Sun (via The New York Daily News) reports that Hudson spewed a lot of blasphemy about the relatively harmless Perry ... then asked for donations (even specifying a $20 minimum).

"They ask how I can preach if I produce a girl who sang about kissing another girl?" Hudson reportedly said during a service in Santa Fe Springs, Calif. "I was at a concert of Katy's where there were 20,000. I'm watching this generation and they were going at it. It almost looked like church ... I stood there and wept and kept on weeping and weeping. They're loving and worshiping the wrong thing."

Hudson is also said to have called Perry a "devil child" and asked parishioners to pray for her because she "needs healing."

This isn't the first time Hudson has said something outrageous. He's previously come under fire for anti-Semitic remarks, used Perry's divorce from Russell Brand to advertise his church and also, rather hypocritically, publicly condemned Perry's lifestyle. You know, the same lifestyle that earns him money and makes him famous.

Somehow we think that's a little worse than singing about cherry Chapstick and faux bi-curiosity.
