Katy Perry Chooses Lakewood High As GMA Roar Contest Winner, She’s Coming To Colorado!

If you hadn't heard, Lakewood High School, in Lakewood, Colorado was one of five finalists for Good Morning America's 'Roar' With Katy Perry Contest. Well, this morning the news broke that LHS was picked as the winner and will get a special concert with Katy Perry.

The winner was announced live this morning on 'Good Morning America', Perry made the announcement from London where she is shooting a new music video.

This decision has been one of the hardest decisions that I've ever had to make...Lakewood really embodied a whole school spirit. ... It was so incredibly crafted …so interesting and well done and organized. It was thousands of kids coming together to 'Roar' and that's what this competition means to me.

Perry's Lakewood concert will be broadcast live on GMA Oct. 25, which is also happens to be her 29th birthday.

I'd better get started baking her some birthday cookies!
