How much we think our property is worth is often very different than how much an assessor's office thinks it's worth. If you received your property value appraisal and aren't happy with the number Larimer County sent you, you only have until Monday (June 3rd, 2013) to protest it.

Read on to find out how you go about submitting a protest.

All property owners should have been sent a 'Notice of Valuation' postcard with the appraised values of their properties. (If you didn't get one, or lost it, you can mail or fax in a 2013 Protest Form.) If you want to make a protest, click here to do it online, but that option will only be available until 11:59PM on June 3rd, 2013.

What your property is assessed at could drastically change how much you pay in taxes, it's probably a good idea to give those numbers a good close look.
