It’s a big year for Fort Collins with the 100 y ear anniversary of City Park. This year, its so much more than just a fireworks display.

The celebration in Fort Collins starts just after the sun rises:

  • FireKracker 5 K kicking off at 8 with a kids run starting at 9 a.m.  at City Park.
  • Golf Tournament at City Park Nine, shotgun start at 8 a.m.
  • America’s oldest game hits the diamond at 9:30am with the 31st Annual Old Timers Game at the North Ballfield
  • 9:30 a.m. is the start of the big time 4th of July parade “City Park 100: July 4th Parade: 100 Years of Transportation” beginning  in front of the Avery House.
  • Fort Collins Foxes host the Loveland Blue Jays at 1 p.m. at City Park South
  • City Park 100 Live Music and  Food Vendors at 1 p.m.
  • Live Music all evening
  • The Grand Finale: THE FIREWORKS! They begin at dusk and are shot out over City Park Lake.

don’t want to deal with traffic and parking:

Free Transfort shuttle service will be available to and from the fireworks display from the Downtown Transit Center (DTC) and the CSU Towers parking lot. Shuttles begin at 1:00 PM going to City Park. Last departure going to City Park will leave DTC and CSU at 9:10pm. At the conclusion of the fireworks display shuttles will resume from City Park to DTC and CSU (no pets allowed).

Please keep in mind that there is a statewide ban on fireworks, including sparklers and snakes.

You can be fined anywhere from $500 to $1000 dollars and up to 90 days in jail if you are caught with fireworks.
