A sequel we may not have known we were even waiting for is on the way. According to Variety, a follow up to Frank Capra's 1946 classic Christmas film is in the works.

The sequel will be called "It's a Wonderful Life: The Rest of the Story" should be in theaters for the 2015 Holiday season.

The film could feature at least one actor that was in the original. Karolyn Grimes, who played Zuzu in the first movie, is set to play an angel that will show the new George Bailey (grandson of the original Bailey played by Jimmy Stewart) that the world would have been better off if he hadn't been born. Zuzu was the character in the original movie that said the line "Every time a bell rings, an angel gets its wings!"

A few other characters from the first movie are in talks to reprise their roles.
