It is fun to listen to people talk about when they could buy ten candy bars, 2 gallons of gas, a pizza for just a dollar. Today, well, you can't buy a whole lot with just one dollar, but it's not yet extinct like the penny. There are still some decent things you can buy with just one dollar. So, if I gave you a dollar and told you that you had to spend it, what would you buy?

I surfed the Internet and stopped by a dollar store the other day to track down some of the best options.

Not that I am some sort of financial genius, but I have learned a valuable lesson over the years, so I have to remind you that a dollar saved is a dollar closer to paying off credit card debt or student loans or having enough to retire. Now with that out of the way...
