Denver International Airport is beginning to understand that standing in long TSA wait lines or sitting around doing nothing during a layover is an awful experience (or worse - 12+ hour delays). To make it a little more fun for all visitors and travelers, they'll be putting in an ice skating rink for us to skate our winter travel blues away.

Well, perhaps they're not putting in an ice skating rink for that purpose alone, but I would imagine ice skating is much more fun than browsing gift shops and taking multiple, meaningless bathroom breaks just to kill time.

Regardless, the rink will be opening on Friday, November 26, at the open-air plaza near the Westin, Denver7 reports. Skaters can get on the ice for free from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily until January 1, 2017. (Skate rentals and musical holiday entertainment are also free.)
