For years, hunters in Colorado have donned the familiar bright orange to keep them safe. But soon, the most masculine of local hunters may be sporting a new color to attract the eye of fellow hunters. According to the Coloradoan, a bill may soon pass that allows Colorado hunters to wear fluorescent pink, rather than just blaze orange.

The chance would make Colorado the second state to allow the color, following Wisconsin. The bright colors are a safety measure, and required when hunting elk, deer, moose, black bear and other animals that are unable to see either pink or orange. It is also an attempt to attract more women to the sport of hunting... though I think that is a bit sexist. The thought that the lack of options when it comes to hunting fashion has been the main reason more women haven't adopted hunting, and now having the option of wearing "hot pink," will open the floodgates of women applicants for hunting permits.
