According to today's Coloradoan, Vestas of Windsor will be hosting a hiring event on March 21st from 9am to 1pm. The event will be held at their blade factory in Windsor, which is located at 1140 Eastman Park Drive.

If you're unaware of Vestas in Windsor, they are a wind-energy technology company that started producing wind turbines in 1979. According to their website, they have since gained a market-leading position with more than 64 GW of installed wind power and more than 42 GW under service globally.

The news of more hirings comes after the company announced last July that they would be hiring 800 new jobs in the state which would've increased their workforce to 2,800 employees by the end of 2014. The 400 new jobs that were announced this week aren't tied into last year's announcement.

Vestas has 300 permanent and 100 temporary production and production-support positions available. Pay starts at $16 per hour for production workers and $13 per hour for production support. They also offer benefits that include health care along with retirement plans with a company match.
