From tubing down its fresh water rapids, to reeling in dinner with your friends and family, the Poudre River is a big part of our lives.

Growing up, splashing around in the Poudre was always a big deal for my family. Whenever relatives would come to visit, we'd take them there to enjoy all the fun it has to offer. (Yes, that's an embarrassing photo of me in the river you were looking at.)

Because it's so special, the Coloradoan is hosting a Poudre River cleanup on Saturday, July 16, and they'd love for you to join them.

The newspaper will be picking up trash at Nix Farm between Lemay Avenue and Timberline Road along the Poudre River between 7:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Volunteers will receive a free lunch as well as a "priceless feeling of civic engagement." #AllTheFeels.

Sign up for the Poudre River cleanup in advance HERE (spots are limited).
