Cyber security experts are warning users to change their passwords to their email after a hack of over 200 million email accounts being offered for sale online.

These thefts include some of the largest email providers on earth. Including Google, Hotmail, MSN, Yahoo and more totaling more than 272 million accounts in all according to Alex Holden, founder and chief information security officer of Hold Security, who discovered the theft.

According to NBC News "We know he's a young man in central Russia who collected this information from multiple sources." Said Holden.

The usernames and password of these email addresses are up for sale on parts of the internet known as the "dark web". According to sources, the hackers can us the stolen email accounts to access birth dates, credit card numbers, banking information and more.

It would be better to err on the side of caution and change your email's password to be on the safe side.
