If you like to travel to western Colorado but feel like the drive from northern Colorado is too long, a new airline is looking to make the trip more effective for you.

According to the Denver Business Journal, Allegiant Airlines has announced that they will begin to offer seasonal service to Montrose (Telluride) starting on December 14th.

This will be the first time that the low cost carrier has flown out of Denver International Airport.

The only other carrier that currently flies to Montrose is United Airlines, with daily flights throughout the year.

Montrose Regional Airport is currently the closest airport to Telluride, at 66 miles away. The airport located in Telluride doesn't have commercial service that currently flies into the town.
