A fire at a home in Greeley Friday night has resulted in a displaced family and the tragic loss of their pet. According to the Greeley Tribune, Greeley firefighters reported to a 911 call on Friday (April 29, 2016) around 9:10 p.m. to a mobile home in the Villa West mobile home park. The residents made an escape to the neighbors, where they called 911 after they saw flames coming from their back bedroom. Firefighters arrived only 7 minutes after the call and aggressively fought the fire, putting it out by 9:20 p.m.

At this time, it's not known what caused the fire, and the home is being reported as a "complete loss," putting the estimated damages at $80,000.

The residents were able to get out of the home without injury, but unfortunately they lost their dog in the fire.
