Sunday, Feb. 22

1 p.m. Greeley police responded to the 1400 block of 10th Street for a report of a person who entered a resident’s house, whispered “don’t listen to him” while the resident was sleeping, and then left.

1:15 p.m. Greeley police responded to the 500 block of 14th Avenue for a report of a resident who sold a dog to someone and then noticed that same person relisted the dog for sale on Craigslist. The original owner wanted to know what to do about the situation.

Friday, Feb. 27

11:30 a.m.: Greeley police responded to a motel in the 2300 block of 29th Street for a report of a man in his 40s or 50s walking around naked.

5 p.m.: Greeley police responded to the 3500 block of 24th Street to talk to a man who sought advice about how to handle his soon-to-be ex-wife for selling his TV behind his back.

5:45 p.m.: Evans police responded to State Farm Road to meet with a resident who wanted to know if it was legal to tow a car with a tow strap at night.

Saturday, Feb. 28

12:30 a.m.: Evans police responded to Mariners Landing Drive to supervise a property exchange between two feuding people. The caller said he and his ex-wife had been in a scuffle that left scratches on his face and his glasses broken. The property was exchanged without incident.

11 a.m.: Greeley police responded to the 1300 block of 11th Avenue for a report of a man who lost his debit card and needed it because he wanted to find God and donate to the church.

6:45 p.m.: Evans police responded to State Farm Road for a report of three young children that were routinely left at home with no food in the house. Officers responded and found the children safely in the care of an uncle.

Sunday, March 1

9:15 p.m.: Greeley police received a call from a resident at a business in the 1300 block of 11th Avenue. The caller thought he left his debit card at the business earlier, but none of the employees admitted to seeing it. The caller asked for police contact by phone because he wanted to avoid “the social stigma of having a cop here.”

Monday, March 2

12:45 p.m.: Evans police responded to Carson Avenue for a report of mysterious food that had found its way into a resident’s fridge and clothes that were found in the guest room. The caller told police her landlord had allowed someone who looked like her daughter into the house. She still thought it was weird despite a note on the fridge from her daughter stating she brought the food and clothes into the house.

Tuesday, March 3

4:45 p.m.: Evans police responded to the 1100 block of 37th Street for a report of a man receiving harassing text messages. The man initially refused to give police his address, questioning why they needed it because the harassment “is happening on my phone.”
