As the Greeley Tribune reported, here is the crime log for the Greeley-Evans area for May 12th through May 18th.

Tuesday, May 12

3 p.m.: Greeley police responded to a business in the 2600 block of 11th Avenue for a report of a woman who was “scooting through the aisles” on her rear end.

Wednesday, May 13

10:30 a.m.: Greeley police responded to a pawn shop in the 1500 block of 8th Avenue for a report of an intoxicated man having an unknown emergency. When police arrived, they learned the man needed a ride to a liquor store followed by a ride to a local hospital to sleep. He was told not to call 911 again unless he has a real emergency.

4:15 p.m.: Greeley police responded to the 2800 block of 28th Street for a report of a man sitting behind the wheel of a Ford pickup without any pants on.

Thursday, May 14

2:15 a.m.: Greeley police responded to a car dealership in the 2700 block of 35th Avenue for a report of an intoxicated woman who said she was locked in the backseat of a pickup.

10:15 a.m.: A 46-year-old woman turned herself in to the Greeley Police Department for kidnapping her 6-year-old grandson. The woman told police she had been doing drugs for two days and didn’t know how to proceed with the case.

1:30 p.m.: A resident in the 2100 block of Wedgewood Drive called Weld County dispatch demanding a Greeley police animal control officer respond to his house to clean up the stinky dog droppings in his backyard.

Friday, May 15

11:45 a.m.: Greeley police responded to 13th Street and 21st Avenue for a report of an altercation between a motorist and a bicyclist. The driver of the vehicle told police a man on a bike rear-ended him and then tried to instigate a fight. The driver said he wanted to find the bicyclist to “teach him the ways of the road.”

7:30 p.m.: Greeley police responded to a harassment report in the 500 block of 11th Avenue. The caller told dispatchers a second person used foul language in public.

Saturday, May 16

10 a.m.: Greeley police responded to the 800 block of 21st Street for a report of a tiger-colored dog.

11:30 a.m.: Greeley police were called to the 2900 block of 5th Street for a report of a chicken that had a dead bat in its mouth. Police did not respond because chickens can’t contract rabies from bats.

2:30 p.m.: Greeley police responded to the 6700 block of 31st Street Road for a report of a rabbit stuck in a window well. Police were able to save the rabbit.

Sunday, May 17

6:15 a.m.: A Greeley resident called dispatchers to report that he would be suing his landlord for writing his name as “Albert Ugly” on his eviction notice.

8 p.m.: Evans police responded to Denver Street for a report of a man who couldn’t see or breathe because his neighbors were roasting peppers. The man said he felt like he had been pepper sprayed, which he believed qualified as an assault.

4:15 p.m.: Greeley police responded to the 2900 block of 15th Avenue because a resident was worried her son would go to juvenile detention for finding a cell phone at school and bringing it home, instead of turning it in to lost and found.

Monday, May 18

3:45 p.m.: Evans police responded to a park at 17th Avenue and 37th Street for a report of a person in a white Buick shooting fireworks at people playing on the basketball court.
