Friday, October 2

9:45 a.m.: Greeley police responded to the 2100 block of 30th Street for a report of a man “so messed up” he couldn’t get out of his Chrysler 200.

10:45 a.m.: Greeley police responded to a convenience store at the corner of 5th Street and 8th Avenue for a report of anti-meat protesters harassing truck drivers employed by a certain local beef plant.

11:30 a.m.: Greeley police responded to the 2200 block of 12th Street for a report of a husband who didn’t really appreciate some of the things his ex-wife was doing and saying.

1 p.m.: Greeley police responded to the 1300 block of 4th Street for a report of a hoarder keeping multiple cats in crates and feeding them burritos. Police found no evidence of the caller’s claims.

6:15 p.m.: Greeley police were called to an unknown disturbance in the 7200 block of 21st Street. The caller demanded police respond before it got dark and said officers were already aware of the situation, adding she had previously spoken to Neighborhood Action Team members. "No, he will tell me the same thing. What good will that do?” the caller said when asked if she wanted to speak to a supervisor. “My husband said it would be a waste of time to contact you guys and it was. And you can put that in your report."

Friday, October 9

11:30 p.m.: Greeley police responded to the 3100 block of 17th Avenue for a report of a dog tethered to an 8-inch rope. The caller thought the short length of rope constituted animal abuse. Police responded and discovered the rope was 15 feet long.

1 p.m.: Greeley police responded to a bus stop at 11th Avenue and 16th Street for a report of a woman smoking despite there being a clearly posted “no smoking” sign.

2:15 p.m.: Greeley police responded to the 900 block of 4th Street for a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in front of a resident’s house. Police responded and had to explain to the caller that it is not illegal for vehicles to park on the street.

6:15 p.m.: Greeley police responded to the 1800 block of 19th Avenue for a report of a dog on top of a neighbor’s shed.

9:30 p.m.: Greeley police responded to a fast-food restaurant in the 2400 block of 8th Avenue for a report of an unoccupied vehicle blocking the drive-thru.

11:15 p.m.: Greeley police responded to the 800 block of 30th Avenue Court for a report of a person hiding in the bushes.

Saturday, October 10

12:30 a.m. Greeley police responded to a mobile home park in the 2000 block of 1st Avenue for a report of a man yelling “like he’s possessed.”

1:30 p.m.: Greeley police responded to the 1200 block of 8th Street for a report of a woman who said a dealer threatened to hurt her if she didn’t buy marijuana from him.

2 p.m.: Greeley police responded to the 2100 block of 5th Street for a report of a girl who stuffed a pillow in a man’s face. The caller was extremely intoxicated when police arrived and said he would try to reconcile with his sister, rather than press charges.

6:15 p.m.: Greeley police responded to the 1200 block of 29th Street for a report of an intoxicated man marching in place and saluting passersby.

8:45 p.m.: Greeley police responded to the 1800 block of 11th Avenue for a report of a squirrel behind the refrigerator.
