Gov. Hickenlooper Has Surprising Plans for Marijuana Tax Revenue [VIDEO]
Colorado's tax revenues from legal pot sales are exceeding expectations, and the governor plans on taking full advantage of the new income.
Newly-released budget projections from the governor's office indicate the state expects to make $45 million from the excise tax alone next fiscal year.
Sales tax projections indicate an additional $70 million is possible from sales tax revenues during the same period.
Check out the video above for Gov. Hickenlooper's plan for all that money.
I gotta say it's nice to see Colorado's economy getting this boost. Whether you're a pot user or not (I'm not, FYI), this is the kind of thing that helps everyone; and I gotta say, it makes me proud to live in Colorado.
