With the warmer weather touching down on us in Northern Colorado, you might start planning those Summer vacations you'll be taking. If you're like me, you'll be finding a cheap flight and taking everyone into the friendly skies. However, many of us will take to the road in our sedans and minivans and will need some music to crank up and keep everyone in a good mood while you travel the country.

According to a recent article from Yahoo Travel, they came up with some of the best road trip songs that will keep you and your family in a great mood while getting to your destination. Maybe you need a rock anthem? Maybe a classic country song? How about cranking up some AC/DC? I think this list will give you a good starting point to keep everyone in the car singing the same tune!

Lets start out with some CLASSIC songs, listed by Yahoo Travel:

- “Born to Be Wild,” Steppenwolf

- “Life Is a Highway”: I say go with the Tom Cochrane version. The riffs and beat to the song is perfect for a road trip.

- “Glory Days,” Bruce Springsteen

- “Don’t Stop Believin’,” Journey

- And my personal favorite...“Sweet Child o’ Mine,” Guns N’ Roses

Yahoo Travel also has some random songs that, when put together, puts everyone in a great mood. Try these ones on for size!

- “Raise Your Glass,” P!nk (It's a party anthem song...and you have to admit that you definitely sing along with it!)

- In my opinion there is nothing better than some Huey Lewis and the News for a road trip. My favorite to choose from? "Power of Love" of course!

- My last top choice that Yahoo agrees with? Michael Franti and Spearhead with "Say Hey". Both adults and kids love this song!

So how accurate do you think these choices are? What song would you add to the list?
